MAY 4th-MAY 8th: Required Learning Week

6th-11th GRADES: REQUIRED SCHOOL SET FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 4-8.

 

· Students will need to attend the weekly engagement hour with their teachers from 10:00-11:00 Monday-Thursday. (Students have received emails inviting them to attend.)

     o   Please email individual teachers with questions regarding their google meet and/or google classroom.

     o   If students cannot attend due to technology limitations, please contact Mr. Bisenius @ 712-372-4656 ext. 1222

 

· Students will be provided with three different chances to complete work so that their 2nd semester grade can be raised a maximum of one full letter grade from their 3rd Q grade. 

     o   Completed and graded work assigned during this week will only positively affect the student’s letter grade. Student grades will not drop.

 

·Teacher Office Hours:  Teachers will have an open google meet available for students to join from 2:00-3:00 Monday, May 4th – Friday, May 8th

      o   Students can ask questions and work with instructors on their opportunities.

      o   Students can always email teachers with questions.

o   If students cannot contact the teachers due to technology limitations, please feel free to contact Mr. Bisenius @ 712-372-4656 ext. 1222.

 

 FAQ

     o   What if we don’t have internet?  Contact Mr. Bisenius and hard copies of learning opportunities will be available for pick up at the high school from May 4th-May 8th.

     o   What if I need to contact the teacher?  Email the teacher directly.  Their email address is available on our website.

     o   What if my student does not participate? Attendance will be taken for the required schooling.  The 3rd quarter grade will become the student’s 2nd semester grade if work is not completed.

     o   What do I need to do to help my child?  Encourage your child to connect with their teacher during engagement hour.  Know that this is an opportunity for your child to raise their grade.  Your student will not lose points during this time.  They can only improve their grade.
