Checkout and Pick up times will be the same in both buildings and are as follows:

Wednesday, May 20: 4:00 - 7:00 pm
Thursday, May 21: 4:00 -7:00 pm

Elementary Student Check-Out:

Q: Who can pick up items?

A: Parents or older siblings of PK-5th grade students. One adult/older student per family will be allowed to enter the school.

Q: What will the procedures be?

A: Please enter the gym through the north doors where students typically enter

each morning.  Locate the necessary teacher tables to retrieve your child’s personal belongs and/or drop off school materials.  You will exit south of the bleachers. Entry will not be granted at any other door of the building in order to keep others safe.

Q: How can I expect materials to be organized?

A: All items will be located on tables in the gym area.  Each table will be labeled

with a teacher’s name and will have items bagged up for students on the table. Names will be clearly marked on each bag for easy identification. Each teacher’s table will also have a bin for returning items to the classroom teacher.  There will be a separate table for library books to be returned.  You can return both school library books and Washta Public Library books if you wish.

Q: What items should I be looking to return to the school?

A: Please return the following items: guided reading books, guided reading bags, textbooks, rented band instruments, Everyday Math flashcards. library books, classroom novels (4th Grade: Castle in the Attic, 5th Grade: Bud, Not Buddy).  You can also drop off money for any unpaid lunch balances.

Q: What items will be in my child’s bag?

A: Personal belongings (clothing, PE shoes, boots, etc.), notebooks, pens/pencils, other remaining school supplies, artwork, class pictures (if ordered).  5th grade students’ locker items and DARE graduation materials will be in their bags as well.

Q: Will teachers be at the school when I stop by to drop off and pick up items?

A: No.  In order to maintain less than 10 individuals in the building at one time, we will not have teachers in the building during pick up/drop off times.  Mrs. Holtz and Mrs. Johnson will be in the gym to assist you, if needed.
