Dear Wolverines,

The River Valley School District was notified on Sunday of another staff member testing positive for COVID-19.  This is unrelated to the previously positive case. The staff member has not been working since the morning of Thursday, September 10, and didn’t experience symptoms until Saturday morning on September 12.

We contacted the Siouxland District Health Department this morning and have been working with them regarding next steps. We contacted families of students on Sunday, September 13 who would have been within the six-foot radius of the staff member for 15 minutes based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance.  No other families need to be contacted at this time.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends contacting your doctor if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and other symptoms, such as coughing or difficulty breathing. More information can be found at Siouxland District Health Department. In addition, please take social distancing seriously: avoid crowds and maintain at least a six-foot distance from other people.

Going forward we will post updates on a web page on our website at www.rvwolverines.org.

This notice serves as a reminder of the importance of continuing our mitigation protocols and everyone working together.  Thank you
