Teacher Spotlight - Ms. April Palmer

In this spotlight we will recognize Ms. April Palmer.  She celebrates her birthday on September 12th and was born in 1996.  Her family consists of a twin sister and an older sister.  She also has a fish aquarium.

She earned her teaching degree at Western Governor's University and this is her first year of having her own classroom.  She teaches Art and English to the 6th - 12th grade students.  She believes her students would be surprised to find out that she is really good at Fortnite.

Her favorite thing to do for fun is to paint and draw.

Some of her favorites are:

  • The color yellow.
  • Food from Culver's.
  • Book is "Up The Down Staircase."
  • Movie is "The Greatest Showman."
  • Song is "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman.
  • Sports are archery, basketball and baseball.
  • Sports team is the Oakland Athletics.

Her best thing about teaching is connecting with the kids and seeing them grow and get smarter.

She shared, "Being a teacher has always been my dream and I am glad to finally be here."
