On the front lines of education is Mrs. Tanya Mallison. She likes to celebrate her birthday on October 1st. Joining her in her family is Justin Mallison, her husband, and three daughters, McKayla, McKenna and Kylee. Also included in their family are their two dogs, Skye and Hollie and one cat, Sophie.
She received her teaching degree at Buena Vista University and she is in her 3rd year of teaching. She teaches all subjects to the 1st grade students.
Her favorite thing to do for entertainment is spending time with her family whether it is at home, camping or a trip to see them.
Some of her favorites are:
- The colors pink and blue.
- Food is Fettuccine Alfredo.
- Book is "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks.
- Movie is "The Notebook."
- Sport teams are Iowa State for college and Rams for NFL.
Her greatest thing about teaching is seeing the kids everyday and when a student catches on and understands something and they light up.
