On the front lines of education is Mrs. Emily Heidesch. She celebrates her birthday on August 12th. Joining her in her family is her husband, Brian, and their three kids, Ethan (6), Evan (5) and Blair (3). Also included in their family is their dog named Milo and 9 chickens.
She received her teaching degree at Morningside College and this is her first year of teaching. She teaches Business to the high school students and 7th and 8th grade exploratories. She believes her students would be amazed to find out that she got stuck at the top of a roller coaster on her senior trip in high school.
Her favorite thing to do for entertainment is read.
Some of her favorites are:

- Food is Mexican and Chinese.
- Book is "The Storyteller" by Jodi Picoult.
- Movie is "The Greatest Showman."
- Song is "Keep Me in the Moment" by Jeremy Camp.
- Sport is baseball and softball.
- Sport teams are the Twins and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Her greatest thing about teaching is getting to interact with the student and watching them grow academically and as individuals.
