This week was Read Across America/Dr. Seuss Week and RV Elementary celebrated it and March itself in a number of ways. We had March Lift-off on Monday and recognized our March birthdays, KDT Kids, Students and Staffers of the Month, and also had our first annual Staff Relay Race. Our spring book fair was held too and we raised about $900 in books for our library! We had some high school students visit us as guest readers for our KDT/Big Buddy Read. Lastly, we held our Longest Fry Contest.
All week students and staff could dress-up each day to add to the fun. With Mother Nature making an appearance, it was a busy, crazy, and fun way to get March started!
We currently have two weight benches that we no longer need. They are sturdy and heavy. One has a cushion (with a slight tear) and one does not have a cushion. If interested, please call the business office for more details.

River Valley Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up on Tuesday, March 18th and Thursday, March 20th. Both days will be 1:30 dismissals with conferences starting at 2 PM. Links to both days have been emailed out, so please check your inbox or spam folder.

RV Elementary Book Fair Reminder
Good Morning River Valley Elementary Peeps! This is an early morning reminder that the RV Elementary Spring Book Fair is still going on today from 8-8:40 AM. It will also be open tomorrow (Friday, March 7) from 8-8:40 AM.
If by some chance, Mother Nature causes us to start late tomorrow, the book fair will run from 10-10:40 AM tomorrow.

The Dance Spring Show has been moved to Friday, March 28 at 6 pm. We will have the Littles who signed up come to the High School after school on Friday, March 28 and still provide a snack, hot dog, chips, and a drink as well as teaching them a dance to perform that night. If your child will not be able to attend, please contact Ms Verzani (averzani@rvwolverines.org) to get their shirt.

River Valley Elementary will be having its spring Scholastic Book Fair next week, March 4-6. It will be open from 8-8:40 AM on those days. We would love to see you there!
Next week is Read Across America and Dr. Seuss Week. We will be celebrating with some fun dress up days as well as a "Big Buddy" book read during our KDT groups. Our "Big Buddies" will be a bunch of students visiting us from the high school. Classroom teachers will also be incorporating some fun lessons/activities to commemorate the week. Lastly, our wonderful cooks will have a Dr. Seuss inspired meal! It should be a fun and educationally filled week at RV Elementary.
River Valley CSD will be running two hours late tomorrow, February 21. There will not be any morning activities. Stay warm!
