Come and cheer on our VB Girls as they play in the Western Valley Championship Games today in Onawa!
As part of our RV Homecoming festivities, our 5th grade students battled it out in volleyball with some of our staff. The rest of students enjoyed the competition and cheered on both teams. It was a great way to release some of that homecoming energy.
Attention River Valley Elementary Fourth and Fifth Graders and Their Parents:
Archery is coming to the elementary! The season will start closer to the end of November and conclude the first part of March. Equipment is provided.

This past Friday, the RV Elementary students and staff were able to enjoy the nice day outside. Just prior to our homecoming parade, the elementary had a picnic in the park. Then they lined up to watch the parade and wait for some candy. It was a fun filled day to end a great week.

Thursday morning the HS VB, FB, and FB Cheerleader went to the elementary for a pep rally!!
REMINDER --- Homecoming Parade starts at 11:30 am with this route:
Starting at 4th and Cedar Streets proceeding east on 4th Street to Driftwood Street, turning north then turning east at the jog and continuing east on 5th Street. Proceeding north on Fir Street, east on 8th Street and north on Hackberry and ending at 10th and Hackberry Streets at the High School.
The MS and HS ended our day watching our 2024 Homecoming Royalty participate in Royalty games! Congratulations to our winners Jacy and Nico!!!

In Mrs. York's Science class, the RV 4th graders are working on the human body. The first investigation was about bones (human) then they talked about animal bones as well. Those discussions led into owls and owl pellets. They examined and discussed how animal bones are similar and different to human bones. It was an awesome hands-on experience for the students!
On Tuesday, September 24 the River Valley HS Royalty visited the elementary school to spend some time at recess as well as eating some lunch with our students. Some football and 4 square never get old:). It is always awesome to see the "big" kids in the hallways. The elementary students truly enjoy them!
