On Monday, April 22nd, RV Elementary celebrated Earth Day in fitting fashion. Mrs. Reinking and Ms. Rau took all K-5 students out and about to clean our elementary campus and some surrounding areas of Washta.
Ms. Skye and our fabulous preschool staff also took the preschool kiddos outside to do the same!
It was great exercise and a great lesson in taking care of Mother Earth!

Recently, RV Elementary got some wonderful news! Our custodians were to receive an award. Josie Cooper with Powell Broadcasting and KSUX 105.7 stopped by to deliver some exciting news! Kayla and Robbie had been nominated and awarded the "The Golden Apple Award."
The award is presented to individuals involved in public education that put students first. They are always willing to lend a hand and do whatever. We are sure lucky to have them at RV Elementary and we certainly very proud of them! Congratulations Kayla and Robbie:)
