Due to the snow days in January, River Valley CSD will now have school on Monday, February 19. This will be a snow makeup day and be a full day of school.

Yesterday morning, RV Elementary held its February Lift-off. One of the monthly things we do is celebrate our birthdays/half birthdays and KDT drawing winners. Pictured are those birthday kiddos and KDT winners. The RV monthly lift-offs are a great way to kick off the month, get our KDT message of the month out, and of course celebrate our students in every way we can:)
It is School Counselor Appreciation Week and River Valley is celebrating its counselors! Thank you to Mrs. Geary, (Mrs. Hewitt & Mrs. Jochims/both not pictured) for all they of for the students at River Valley Community Schools. We are blessed to have you!

The River Valley Large Group Speech Recital will take place on Wednesday, January 31, at 7:30 pm in the auditorium. Please come support River Valley Large Group Speech students!
Next week (February 5-9), RV Elementary will battling it out in our 2024 RV Elementary Penny Wars! Each grade level will be competing to see who can raise the most cash:). See the attached flyer for specific rules. It should be a blast!
RV Elementary's 100th day is fast approaching. Barring Mother Nature changing things for us, our 100th day will be this Friday, February 2nd. To celebrate, we are asking our staff and student to "Dress Like You Are 100!" Please see the attached flyer for more information:). We look forward to seeing all the "Old" outfits!

We found some oldies but goodies! We found class composites from Eastwood classes of '69, '70, '72, '80, '81 and '84. The community center already has larger ones of these so these have been donated to Eastwood Collectibles in downtown Correctionville. Contact Mark if you are interested in them.

The new year has seen our RV Elementary student council members taking on the important task of putting up and taking down our flag each day. The members watched some demonstrations and learned how to properly handle and fold our nation's flag. They are doing a great job!
