Reminder: River Valley students do not have school on Monday, Dec. 5th. Their teachers will have an Inservice day on that day.
Friday night's (12/2/22) high school basketball game at Woodbury Central (Moville) will start with JV girls at 4:00, JV boys at 5:00, Varsity girls at 6:00, Varsity boys will follow the girls. Woodbury Central will be offering a tailgating meal deal from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in their commons for $8.00 which will include a Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich.
Just a reminder: Tomorrow night, Thursday, Dec. 1st is our Kindergarten through 3rd grade Holiday Music Concert in the auditorium at the JH/HS building in Correctionville. Kindergarten and First grade will start at 6:15pm, 2nd and 3rd grade will start at 7:00pm. The Middle School Student Council will be having a bake sale during the concert as well, selling holiday trays for $5.00 each. Please bring cash to purchase them.

This is just a reminder about RV Elementary's K-3 Winter concert set for tomorrow night, December 1. It will be held at the High School Auditorium in Correctionville, IA. The K-1 grades will need to arrive at 6:00 PM in music room, for a 6:15 PM performance . The 2-3 grades need to arrive at 6:30 PM in music room for a 7:00 PM performance.
Alert: Meet the teams night has been postponed until Sunday, December 4th. Doors will open at 4:15.

River Valley After Prom Can Drive is tomorrow (11/26) from 9:00-Noon! If you have any friends, family, businesses that have cans or bottles to donate contact or junior class member or drop them off at Ted Mammen’s shop and we will get them donated to the junior class after prom! Can’t make it? We would be happy to pick them up if it can be arranged! Otherwise cans can be dropped off at Nelson's bottles and cans during business hours! Thank you!
In Ms. Mitchell's kindergarten, the students worked on a "Disguise a Turkey" activity. Their disguises were adorable. Gobble, Gobble!
Ms. Meister's Advanced Foods' class made pie this week to celebrate Thanksgiving! Great work!
Yesterday, RV Elementary served their Thanksgiving meal. Our kitchen staff "Knocked it out of the Park" with all their hard work preparing and serving one delicious meal. From cake to turkey, our students and staff got it all. We are blessed to have a kitchen staff like we do. Thank you Mrs. Bakker, Mrs. Chapman, and Mrs. Kline for all you do for our students and staff!!
Animal Science students practiced giving vaccines to bananas (cattle) two ways, intramuscular and subcutaneous.
Mrs. Todd's 6th Grade math students spent the last few days creating food trucks that sell two signature sandwiches! Each group was very creative in their design of the sandwiches and truck!

River Valley Meet The Teams Night for winter sports will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29th at 6:00pm at the Junior/Senior High School. Admission is water or gatorade for the winter sports teams.
The Booster Club and winter sports participants will be offering a $5.00 soup/sandwich/desert/drink meal deal.
Food Assignments are as follows:
HS Girls Basketball and Dance Teams-sandwiches
HS Boys Basketball-drinks
Cheer and Wrestling-deserts
Youth pictures and JH team pictures will be taken in the south gym.
The HS basketball teams will be playing a staff team.
