This morning we were able to get October going in style with our RV Elementary October Lift-off! We talked about a lot of upcoming things including Fire Prevention Week (which is this week). Other things we celebrated was our students! We recognized our Student(s) of the Month, our KDT Drawing winners, and our October birthdays. It was a great morning of pumping up our students for the month.

The River Valley School District was awarded a grant last spring from the Cherokee County Legacy Foundation to enhance landscaping and outdoor spaces at the Elementary School!
With these funds, the Plant Science class redesigned and refreshed the flower beds, and new picnic tables and benches were added to the recess area.
A huge thank-you to the Cherokee County Legacy Foundation for helping us create a more welcoming and enjoyable space for our students!

RV Elementary had a great Homecoming Week! Today was packed full of fun! We had a "High Five" with our fall sports athletes and the homecoming royalty. The students had their first Longest French Fry Contest. Next, we held our Homecoming Rock, Paper, Scissors Contest and then we finished the day with some hotly contested VB matches between staff and the 5th grade. It was a great way to end our week!

🏫✨ The hallways, doorways, and lockers have been filled with school spirit all week as students decorated to match this year’s Homecoming theme, “This is Our Home.”
Thank you to the Correctionville Area Community Club for sponsoring the locker decoration contest! 🎉
