Tomorrow's JH Girls basketball game will be played in Schaller, starting at 4:00 PM.


The basketball cheerleaders would like to invite any PreK-8th Grade River Valley student to be a part of our 2022-2023 Basketball Cheer Camp. The cost of the camp is $20 and the student will receive admission to the basketball game on 1/23/23, a t-shirt, and a hot dog/chip meal. More details are on the flyer that was sent home today. The bottom portion of the flyer and money is due back to either office or Ms Verzani in the high school by Wednesday, January 11. Hope to see you there!


Tonight's River Valley GBB and BBB DH versus Trinity Christian has been postponed. A future date and time is still to be determined. The JH girl's BB game versus Woodbury Central lis still on.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the home basketball games that were originally scheduled to take place on January 3rd with Hintion have been postponed and will be played at a later date. More information to follow.


River Valley CSD will not have school tomorrow, Thursday, December 22nd due to inclement weather. Have a Merry Christmas/Holiday Break Wolverines!


Earlier this week, RV Elementary's 3rd grade and kindergarten classes came together to make Christmas Cookies. It was a great Big Buddy/Little Buddy experience. Some very interesting Christmas cookie shapes were created in the process:)





Yesterday, the RV Elementary preschool classes celebrated Grandparents Day! The classrooms were full of lots of fun and learning. It was great to see all the visitors and the preschoolers loved seeing Grandpa and Grandma:).





RV Elementary's Movie Day at the State scheduled for tomorrow December 21 is postponed until a later date:( Unfortunately the uncertainties with tomorrow's weather (both cold and snow) has created the reason to postpone. We will look to do it again in late January or early February.

Come out and cheer on our High School Girls and Boys Basketball Teams as they host Alta-Aurelia tonight in varsity games with the girls' game starting at 5:30pm. If you are unable to attend in person but would still like to cheer them on, you can digitally stream the game with the Fuller Digital Solutions broadcast at https://www.fullerdigital.net/river-valley.

POWERSCHOOL UPDATE: Hello all- we are aware of the issue with the mobile PowerSchool app not syncing with the server, therefore not showing recent information. This is a PowerSchool issue and they have advised us that to correct this problem you need to log out of your parent/student PowerSchool account and log back in. If the issue still exists, they advise to delete and re-download the PowerSchool app on your mobile device. As always, if you continue to have any problems, please notify us at school and we will find an answer for you. Thank you for your patience.

Christmas-time meets the Krusty Krab in Ms. Meister’s foods class!



REMINDER: The Junior High and High School Winter Music Concert will be held tomorrow evening, Tuesday, Dec. 20th. The Junior High Concert will start at 6:00pm in Kingsley, students need to be there by 5:15pm. The High School Concert will start at 7:45pm in Kingsley.

RV Elementary held its December edition of the Longest French Fry Contest on Fryday, December 16. Our winners were: Miles Henshaw and Tyler Winn in kindergarten (Even Mrs. Knaack got into the action:), Lileygh Bond and Macie Sargent (3rd), and Izabella Regenitter and Levi Kurnick-Wiig (4th). Winners and runner-ups were awarded either free fries or a Happy Meal from McDonalds! Lunch time was a blast with plenty of excitement and even some Christmas music:)




THIS JUST IN: Varsity only-High School Girls and Boys basketball will travel to Storm Lake St. Mary's tonight to make-up last night's games. Girls game will start at 6:00pm, with Boys to follow. Girls Wrestling at Spencer has been cancelled for today.
