Tonight's HS girl's and boy's basketball games versus Storm Lake St. Mary's in Correctionville has been postponed. A future date and time is still to be determined.

The River Valley Elementary 4th grade social studies students participated in a "yummy" erosion and weathering experiment with Skittles. They learned a lot with their hands on treats! Sounds like Mrs. Carstens "treated" them to a wonderful activity:)
Recently, the 3rd grade from RV Elementary engaged in a fun activity dealing with following directions and baking. In the spirit of Christmas they baked and decorated their own cookies. When finished, they were able to sample their work. It looks like no frosting was spared:).
The basketball games for tonight are all still being played. Junior High Girls will host Siouxland Christian in Correctionville at 4:00pm. Junior High Boys will host Westwood in Pierson at 4:00pm. High School Girls and Boys will be travelling to Ida Grove tonight for VARSITY GAMES ONLY starting at 6:00pm.
The River Valley 4th-6th grade Christmas concert will be postponed until Monday, December 19th @ 6:30.
River Valley CSD will have a two-hour late start. No morning activities.
Next week, RV Elementary will be heading into the Christmas break with some fun filled dress-up days. Looks like a lot of fun will be had.

Thursday, December 22 (Early Out/12:30 PM)-Ugly Christmas Sweater-Dust off and wear your favorite Christmas ugly sweater.
River Valley will play today’s scheduled conference basketball matchup with MVAOCOU. Girls JV will start at 4:30.
The home high school basketball games vs. MVAOCOU is still going to take place tonight. JV girls will start at 4:30pm, followed by JV boys at 5:30 pm, then we will round off the night with Varsity girls followed by Varsity boys. Come out in the snow and cheer on our Wolverines!!
